Dr. C places one titanium implant post at each end of the empty span. Over 3–6 months the posts fuse to your jawbone through osseointegration, becoming as solid as natural roots. A custom bridge of 3–4 porcelain or zirconia crowns is then screwed or cemented across the two posts — the end crowns sit on the implants and the middle replacement teeth (pontics) are suspended between them.
